Designed by Josef Frank and/orJosef Hoffman for Thonet in the 1920's, the "Prague" or model 811 chair is a classic of modern design. This set of six, two armchairs and four side chairs, was made by FMG at the former Thonet factory in Radomsko, Poland around 1970. The beech wood frames have a lovely golden brown patina and all of the hand-woven backs are original. Some of the seats have been re-caned and one of the armchairs has some cane damage as shown in detail photos and should be re-caned to provide optimal support. All are marked "Made in Poland" and retain the original FMG labels.
We are open to replacing the armchair with cane damage with a side chair with no damage. This side chair is shown in last photo and was also made by FMG..
