The fan has 14 leaves made from natural tortoiseshell, delicately strung together with a gold silk ribbon. It has been hand painted with a center flower that is visible when open and has gold detailing overall. The fan measures 8.5" wide when open and 5.5" high including the handle. Please note that this fan was made before 1947 and we do not promote or support harming animals for profit. See less
