This really is an Absolutely Beautiful Antique Coffee Mill - Coffee Bean Grinder. Circa Early 19th Century. This is a Very Fine Quality - Completely Hand Made Piece. The Body is Made Out of Genuine Solid Spanish Mahogany Wood. The Top Grinding Pieces - Crank Etc. are Substantially Made Out of Solid Brass. NOTE That the Knob - Crank Handle is Made Out of 2 Different Substances - Lathe Turned Genuine Rosewood and Hand Carved Tagua Nut - "Vegetable Ivory" The actual Coffee Bean Grinding Mechanism is Made Out of Steel. As far as Origin Goes my Guess Would be England or Possibly Continental Europe. Condition as Follows. I am sure that it is Still Functional However if you Plan on Actually Using it a Good Cleaning of The Steel Grinding Mechanism is Advised. The Finish - Varnish appears to be Original with Nice Patina. NOTE That it has a Large Chip on 1 of the Top Corners and a Small Chip on the Other Corner - Both on the Back Side of the Grinder. -. Overall Cosmetically is in Very Nice Condition and it Displays Very Well. The Old Original Varnish Has Developed a Wonderful Aged Color & Patina.
