Extraordinary ceramic bowl/platter by ceramicist George Alexander (b. 1940), featuring three dimensional produce - squash, corn, pomegranates, and other foliage. The eggplant colored dish has a felt back and wire to hang if preferred to laying flat.
George Alexander obtained his BFA and MFA from the University of Mississippi at Oxford in 1963 and 1969, respectively. Often referred to as ”the Chihuly of clay”, Alexander also studied in Spain, and has multiple solo shows.
