The X-form base … Read more A Spanish Brutalist stool from the mid-20th century, forged in hand-wrought iron and finished with hand-tooled leather. The X-form base is marked by visible hammerwork, its legs curling upward into scrolls and grounded by claw-like feet. Four embossed leather straps form the seat, each secured with iron rivets and patterned in geometric relief. Designed to fold when needed, it layers easily as a fireside seat, a hallway perch, or an accent in a study. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The hand-tooled leather seat shows surface cracking and areas of finish loss, consistent with age and use. The iron frame displays natural oxidation and surface variation typical of hand-wrought construction. Folding mechanism functions smoothly, and the piece remains sturdy. See less
