This jar is marked on the bottom WTCO Whitall Tatum Company which dates this jar to 1901-1905. This company was owned by the Whitehall's and Tatum's who were devout Quakers and did not believe in the sale of intoxicating liquor and refused to manufacture liquor bottles of any kind. They had a huge factory manufacturing apothecary jars. This is a mouth blown bottle with a ground top and stopper. These make great display and/or can be used for storage. Mother of pearl buttons would look amazing. See less
