The piece was meticulously crafted in France circa 1990. The thick molded crystal base has striped carving and gilt enamel application. The base holds a black plastic display for an extra-long ball pen. The piece still has its original designer's sticker on the underside. The desk piece is also signed on the edge, Christian Dior.
