This stunning modernist picture frame was designed by renowned Italian designer Tommaso Barbi. The piece was meticulously crafted in Italy circa 1970. The rare photo frame boasts an exceptionally sophisticated design featuring a thick licorice black acrylic Lucite slab contrasted with gilt brass decor accents. The ornament boasts a large polished brass baguette complemented by an antique coin imitation. The easel and the back are from the same black Lucite. The frame can only be positioned in a portrait orientation. The important photo frame bears, at the back, the gilded hot-stamp signature of the Tommaso Barbi brand.
