Three tiers of shelving gradually widen from top to bottom, with the sides tapering slightly outward. Undoubtedly, the funnest part about it is the large Roycroft-style pegs on both sides, separated by large circle cut-outs, and the large half-dome and small circle shape that form the feet. Together, the paint and cutouts have a youthful, Scandinavian Folk sensibility, while the peg construction is reminiscent of Arts and Crafts design. The handcrafted imperfections, less-than-perfect paint job, and marks of time lend a soulful and humble counterbalance to this tactile, cleverly designed, one-of-a-kind bookshelf. See less
