The highly collectable vase … Read more A 1960's earthen ware art vase by the Danish designer Nils Thorssen (1898-1975) for Royal Copenhagen. The highly collectable vase is an example of the "Baca" series in which the faience method was used. Transparent washes of green and blue glaze were applied over earthen ware. The square vase ends in a circular opening. The clay was incised with Danish geographic motifs and symbols. The vase is in excellent condition for its age and use. The maker's mark is shown on the bottom of the vase. The vase is a beautiful example of Danish art ceramics from the Mid-Century. Dimensions: 9" H X 3" W X 3" D. See less
