The settee would be ideal for an entry way, a porch, a cabin, at the footboard of a bed. So many possibilities, there is a partial label on the bottom of the seat with the makers label. The piece looks nice and clean and has even recently been reupholstered with this amazing textured fabric. I am not sure what kind of wood it is, but the finish is a sort of dark walnut or a chocolate brown as some designers call it now days. It can easily fit two people, imagine watching the sunset on your porch on this beauty. See less

It is also rock solid, and sturdy, however being a vintage piece it does have some minor imperfections, there are some small areas where the hand painted design has peeled off, but is very small areas and normal for a piece its age. It just adds character less
