The lithograph print poster is published by The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek Denmark, printed in 1968 in Denmark in an unnumbered limited edition by J. Chr. Sorensen & Co. A/C, on the occasion of the exhibition 21/9 - 10/11 - 1968.

It features an iconic Cubist portrait artwork image of Picasso's muse Dora Maar, originally created by Picasso in 1941 titled " Femme Assise Dans Un Fauteuil " ( Woman Sitting In An Armchair ). The original painting is held in the collection of The Picasso Museum in Paris, France.

Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. He is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The Twentieth Century. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.

Louisiana opened as a museum for Modern Art in Denmark in 1958. The original idea was that it should be a center for people interested in art ; a meeting place in beautiful surroundings, right on the sound, where Danish art and design could be experienced in a setting of Contemporary Danish architecture. As art movements became increasingly international the museum realized that its task was both to exhibit 20th Century Art as well as to build a collection of works created after 1950.

Today The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art stands as a leader of Modern and Contemporary art museums with one of the most impressive and important collections to be seen anywhere in the world.

The rare out of print Mid Century Danish Modern framed lithograph print exhibition poster measures 25 1/4" W X 34 3/8" H X 1 3/8" D.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglas in a Contemporary Modern recessed beveled detail matte eggshell finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light minor wear in the lower bottom text area.
