An incredibly scarce and highly collectible Ib Kofod‑Larsen 8‑drawer dresser, produced by Povl Dinesen as part of the sought‑after PD‑series (PD-572). Unlike the more common Brande Møbelfabrik versions, this is the cabinetmaker‑built edition, constructed in small workshop quantities and marked with the original Povl Dinesen badge and “Danish Control” sticker used to mark fine Danish Modern furniture in the early 1960’s.
Crafted in richly figured Danish teak, the dresser features Kofod‑Larsen’s signature minimalist geometry, recessed sculpted pulls, and a perfectly balanced three‑column layout. The drawers are exceptionally well‑built, with tight joinery, smooth action, and the refined internal finishing characteristic of Dinesen’s workshop production.
This example is in excellent vintage condition, showing warm patina, clean lines, and no structural issues. All 8 drawers operate smoothly and retain their original interiors. The piece stands on tapered solid‑teak legs, giving it a light, architectural presence.
