The continuous wrought-iron ribbon that forms the backrest and under-seat detailing flows in Royère’s signature undulating “meander” pattern—creating a graphic, almost calligraphic silhouette that feels both timeless and boldly postmodern.

Hand-forged black wrought-iron frames are finished in a clean, high-contrast powder coat with no rust or structural issues. The original neutral linen-cotton blend seats remain in showroom condition, generously proportioned and surprisingly comfortable for extended sitting.

Design Frères was founded by French-born designer Eric Thévenot after he relocated to Los Angeles in the early 2000s (following the late-1970s/1980s period when the firm first gained attention).
