A striking pair of Venetian-style wall brackets, cast in resin and finished in richly detailed polychrome to capture the look of hand-carved giltwood. Each bracket depicts a liveried figure in a gilded jacket, striped sash, and flowing drapery, crowned by a scalloped, gadrooned shelf top ideal for display. The gilt finish is layered over a black ground with painted red and black striping throughout the costume, giving each piece real sculptural presence at a fraction of the weight and cost of a carved original.
