A fabulous antique HB Quimper large dfish platter with detailed hand painted musicians and Breton couples dancing in traditional costume. At the bottom of the scalloped border is the inscription "Noce Bretonne" which means Breton wedding. Marked HB on the reverse. Circa 1883 - 1898.
In excellent antique condition with no cracks, hairlines, or chips. There is light crazing and areas of glaze crawling, glaze inconsistency, glaze pinholes, and errant paint from the production process. See photos.
