The elegant flared form, incised decorative banding, and rich smoke-blackened patina reflect generations of use and craftsmanship. Traditionally, these vessels were regularly fumigated with aromatic wood smoke to help preserve milk, creating the deep lustrous finish prized by collectors today. Crafted thoughtfully with a rounded bottom to prevent spillage. Dating from the mid-20th century, this example displays beautiful age-related wear, including a naturally developed surface patina and stabilized crack that speak to its history and authenticity.
