These cast iron bookends have a hand-painted enamel finish. The oval shape showcases a brown handled hanging basket filled with yellow, pink, and red flowers with green leaves all around. They were designed with a felt-covered bottom to protect surfaces.

While several foundries produced similar cast iron decorative items during this era, some are attributed to well-known makers like Judd or Hubley. There is no Maker’s Mark on these bookends.

The Bookends are in Very Good preloved condition with signs of use typical of their age. The cloth on bottoms have worn away or have been removed.

The Bookends measure 7 3/8” Tall x 5 3/4” Wide x 2 1/2” Deep. They weigh 5 pounds 14.5 ounces or 94.53 ounces or 2680 grams. See less
