It measures 10" across and is in very good condition, with bright colors, and no chips or crazing on porcelain. The pattern, which features small sprays of roses, pansies, and forget-me-nots with a blue and gold border, was produced starting around 1892.
Minton was one of England's oldest china makers, founded in 1793 in Stoke-on-Trent.
The combination of these flowers symbolized remembrance, thoughtfulness, and true love in the Victorian language of flowers.
The plates were retailed by high-end stores in the US, such as Gilman, Collamore & Co. in New York.
The pattern was popular during a period of renewed interest in nature and household finery. A lovely collectors item from over 120 years ago. See less
