This piece is a beautifully sculptural example of West African tribal artistry, hand-carved from wood with an exceptional aged surface and rich brown patina developed through many years of handling and use. Features elongated upright ears, a softly rounded facial plane, pierced triangular eyes, and a calm, meditative expression characteristic of Baule carving traditions.
