This one of a kind bowl was created by Rick and Janet Nicholson in their studio in Auburn, California. This is a Wave bowl from their Point Break Series. Ocean inspired, each bowl has a unique shape and blend of colors. As I understand it, this shape has a high level of technical difficulty and requires an expert glassblower to achieve it successfully.
This is a true work of art and would enhance the beauty of any home and can be displayed as a lovely art glass sculpture. The bowl is approximately 20” across and at the high side is approximately 7.5” high and at the low end is approximately 4” high. The bowl includes shades of white, pink and purple, and mimic the appearance of ocean waves
.
It is signed on the bottom, which was difficult to photograph. It appears to have been made in 1995, and is in excellent preowned condition.
