This exquisite Chinese blue and white porcelain tea caddy features a unique double-cylindrical or "twin" form, accented by a distinctive bamboo-style ribbed spine running down the center. The vessel is decorated in a rich underglaze blue with high-relief, repoussé-style carvings that bring a tactile dimension to the traditional "Birds and Flowers" motif. Intricate scenes of songbirds perched amidst flowering plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, and pomegranates wrap around the body, symbolizing longevity and prosperity. The matching fitted lid continues the ornate theme, topped with a stylized "Shou" character for longevity and flanked by delicate bat or scrollwork handles.
