English transferware in a detailed chinoiserie “Oriental Bird and Flower” pattern, also known as Pattern No. 6.

The central design features a long-tailed bird of paradise or pheasant perched on a branching tree surrounded by large florals including peony blooms and smaller accent flowers. The rim is decorated with a trailing vine floral border in soft pink, camel, and green tones, separated from the center by a Greek key-style band. Scalloped edge ironstone form with polychrome transfer decoration and subtle hand-applied color variation typical of the period. See less
