Set of Five Le Rosey, French Porcelain Dinner Plates from famous Parisian atelier at 11 Rue de la Paix (c. 1880–1890).
A rare and beautifully preserved suite of five Le Rosey hand crafted porcelain dinner plates from the famous Paris boutique on XI Rue de la Paix.
This atelier is well‑documented in Paris porcelain scholarship and appears in auction records, including a Christie’s sale of a Le Rosey dinner service marked “Le Rosey XI Rue de la Paix”.
Each plate features a linen white center framed by an opulent Rococo border of raised enamel florals, scrolling gilt cartouches, and painterly washes of violet, blue, rose, and green.
The gilding is generous and beautifully intact, catching the light with that unmistakable Belle Époque glow.
The reverse of each plate bears both an impressed “T H” and the flowing handwritten script in red, Le Rosey, XI Rue de la Paix.
This mark is consistent with documented examples from c. 1880–1890 and aligns with both scholarly references and auction‑level comparables.
This set includes five plates:
• Four in very good antique condition with strong gilding and vibrant enamel. No chips, scratches or crazing is evident on four of the plates.
• One plate has a small chip on the edge of the plate and can be seen above in the photographs.
Together, the five create a cohesive set ideal for display. They are truly gorgeous plates with detail not often seen in such great condition in 2026. Plates of this provenance and age are rarely found in sets and often sold individually.
Dinner plates are especially hard to find even in a pair. These plates belonged to my mother's family; and her relatives are the original owners.
These are not merely decorative plates — they are Paris atelier works from a documented Rue de la Paix studio, carrying the refinement, artistry, and history that define the best of 19th‑century French porcelain. A rare opportunity to acquire a cohesive suite with true provenance.
