The wood, which has been cleaned and restored, has a wonderful richness to its color. It appears to my eye to be a hardwood, being tight-grained, but which exact hardwood I can't venture.

This etagere stands about 36 inches high and is just over 25 inches wide. Not too big, not too little (just right!). Comfortable on the floor or even on a table or riser of some sort. Perfect also for your treasured collection of... ? As mentioned in the title, 11 display platforms (including the top). Eight inches deep and the base is about 13 x 8 inches.

The decoration on the bottom, being classically Chinese, is also to be found on the side and on the back.

The graceful curves on the sides are so pleasing...

The last four photos are dedicated to showing a couple of condition issues. Someone has sunk a screw into the bottom (back) left foot, to hold together a break. Of course a capable craftsman could remove it and make a repair. There was a break in the right-hand (again, on the back) curving piece and that has been glued and it holds fast.

The beauty of these condition issues is that they're both on the back and quite out of sight when the etagere is positioned with the other side (the front) to the viewer.
