This ornate piece is a Victorian-style porcelain soup tureen. This has the original Royal Sealy Japan sticker fully intact, which seems to indicate that this set was mainly a shelf sitter. It is identified as 1970s-era Japanese porcelain. This is a complete set, includes the under plate, toureen, lid and ladle, finding them all together is rare. Colors are still vibrant without fading. The milky-white ceramic is decorated with an Imari-inspired floral motif, often described as having a "Chinoiserie" pattern with blue, pink, and red flowers and the trim on knob finial, handles and rims is an goldish shade.

Overall great condition. It has manufacturer enamel mishaps (pointy areas) and a few minor chips around the edge under plate's rim area and the ladle has a small chip, my pictures tried capturing them. There is a small area with light crazing on top of the under plate, not too noticeable.

Perfect for a soup or fruit salad, or simply used as a decorative piece for your kitchen, breakfast nook or dining room.

Overall 10" High to the tip of the finial, 11" from handle to handle, 7" Wide (oblong shape). The ladle is 9" long and the width of the ladle bowl is 3" wide. The height of the bowl without the lid and under plate is 5.5". See less
