This is a signed Thayer Coggin loveseat designed by Milo Baughman. The 1980s postmodern style loveseat is distinguished by a streamlined kidney shape with vertical planes on the back and sides that reach all the way down to the ground. In the front, a channeled back leads to 2 sculpted seat cushions above an unusual inset toe kick. The loveseat retains its original abstract striped upholstery and Thayer Coggin label.
The 1980s era loveseat is in excellent structural condition but fair cosmetic condition. The upholstery fabric shows wear, including fraying and staining, and should definitely be reupholstered. The sofa frame construction is superb, as expected of Thayer Coggin pieces. Signed Thayer Coggin, made in North Carolina, and dated 1988.
The loveseat measures approximately 66” wide, 34” deep, and 32” tall with a 19” seat height and 29” arm height.
