The chair features a graceful barrel-back form silhouette with gently sloped arms executed in a warm honey-toned rattan. The frame showcases McGuire's signature hand-applied leather rawhide lashing joinery on the exposed joints. The chair is detailed by an intricate open lattice fretwork of rattan pole spindle-work to the back and sides, lending the piece a visual air lightness. The frame is raised by straight rattan legs reinforced by a X-form stretcher, terminating in patinated brass casters. The chair is fitted with a loose padded seat cushion in an ivory tone. The chair is versatile and suited to add a polished Coastal, Organic Modern, or Palm Beach style interior. Arms measure 28" tall. Original McGuire maker's plaque underneath chair.
