Set of 6 original antique botanical prints published in England in the 1870s. They are from a folio of the flowering plants of Great Britain based on illustrations by the English artist Anne Pratt (1806-1893), one of the most successful women botanical illustrators of the 1800s. The English and Latin names of the plants are shown on the base of the print.
The botanicals shown on the prints include:
Top Row (L to R): Storks Bill, Pink (Dianthus), Flax
Bottom Row (L to R): Trefoil, Rocket, Trefoil
Each lithograph print measures 5 x 8.5 inches, and includes a certificate with additional information about the series.
These are original antique prints - not reproductions. They are in excellent condition. Each print is packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board. The series ships in a cardboard flat mailer with an enclosed cardboard insert for additional protection.
