A masterclass in … Read more A magnificent early 20th-century Spanish Revival hall bench by the renowned Kittinger Furniture Company of Buffalo, NY. A masterclass in Renaissance Revival craftsmanship made from a solid walnut frame with a rich, deep patina.

The backrest is anchored by two large, intricately hand-carved rosettes flanked by classic turned finials. Below the seat, a beautifully scalloped apron transitions into sturdy block legs, joined by the hallmark of the style: elegant, hand-forged wrought iron stretchers.Includes a custom-tailored, deep navy upholstered cushion with contrasting piping, providing a sophisticated update to the traditional plank seat.

Whether placed in a grand entryway, at the foot of a bed, or in a library, this bench offers a timeless blend of Mediterranean soul and American heritage.

NOTE: The bench is unmarked with a makers mark but does have have a catalog number of 938 carved into the bottom (see last photo). Kittinger Furniture provided the catalog information and found the bench in a catalog with a copyright date of 1931.
