A framed early 20th-century French stone lithograph advertising the aperitif Maurin Quina le Puy France, depicting the iconic green devil in profile prancing and laughing while holding a bottle of the aperitif.
The lower margin reads “Maurin Quina le Puy France,” with an inscription along the margin: “Imp. P. Vercasson & Cie, Rue de Lancry, Paris.” The poster also features a facsimile of the artist’s signature in yellow at right, and a printer’s hallmark at left in the form of an artist’s palette.
Presented in a substantial giltwood frame with raised acanthus leaf motif and beaded inner edge, adding scale and architectural presence. A classic and highly recognizable image in early advertising design, ideal for interiors ranging from modern to traditional.
