Bands of warm terracotta, cream, and charcoal-brown wrap the body in soft, irregular striations, giving the piece a strong sense of movement and depth while remaining visually balanced. The profile is full and rounded, tapering subtly toward a short, slightly recessed neck. The rim is finished in a dark, nearly black glaze that continues into the interior, providing a deliberate visual contrast to the matte exterior surface. The interior glaze appears smooth and even, suggesting functional intent as well as decorative presence. Close inspection shows the hand of the maker: gentle variations in line, tonal shifts within the slip layers, and minor firing nuances that are consistent with studio pottery rather than industrial production. The base is unglazed, revealing the natural clay body and throwing rings, further confirming its handcrafted origin. This vase works equally well as a sculptural object or as a vessel for branches or simple floral arrangements. Its palette and form allow it to sit comfortably in both contemporary and rustic interiors, pairing naturally with wood, plaster, stone, and neutral architectural settings. A strong standalone decorative object with a grounded, tactile presence.
