(These drawers are made up from reclaimed wood. The ogee molding that forms the crown is also replaced). The drawer section stands just a little proud of the rest of the case, slightly overhanging the two flat paneled doors. A fluted astragal separates the doors and is also applied on the front corners of the case, where it is capped with a carved acanthus leaf and seed pod corbel. The doors open about 90-100 degrees on a pivot hinge. A single shelf is mounted 12.5” up in the spacious interior and the interior depth is 16.5”. Such a piece is very versatile. As well as serving as a regular storage cupboard, a TV stand, or a sideboard in the dining room, removal of the turned feet will make this the perfect height for use as a kitchen island or a powder room vanity base.
