This cassone is in traditional walnut with thick lid, the front is carved with central crest and flanked by two walnut burl panels and carved angels on each end. The cassone is well carved and is most likely 17th century. Some old restorations and repairs.

Condition: The top is loose as one hinge has come out of an old repair to the backboard where the hinge was. Missing piece of trim below the lid on the left side. Some other small losses replacements repairs and signs of worm damage. It is old, condition is as such.
