model no.14 designed by michael thonet and introduced in 1859. The chair is also widely known as the vienna chair and became one of the most recognisable café chairs in furniture history.

the construction follows thonet’s bentwood technique where solid beech elements are steam-bent into smooth curved forms. This method allowed the chair to be produced efficiently while maintaining strength and a lightweight structure.

the round rattan seat and the characteristic looped backrest create a clear and functional design associated with european cafés and bistro interiors.
