The table is made of stunning solid flame mahogany and it is raised on three "gun barrel" turned columns on quadruple swept reeded sabre leg bases terminating in brass caps and castors. It has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion. This makes it a versatile dining table which can comfortably seat twelve people. The underside bears labels for William Tillman and is stamped 68E WFT. The set of chairs by Willim Tillman comprises two armchairs and ten side chairs all featuring the attractive shield back design hand carved with The Coronet Plume of The Prince of Wales feathers with drop in seats that have been upholstered in a stunning striped fabric. This table and chairs were purchased at great expense from the master cabinet maker William Tillman, at Harrods Knightsbridge London in the 1980s. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining set which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times. Condition: In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
