There are 5 pieces that are a part of a series of "Seated Band Player" or "Musician" wire sculptures. These are typically handcrafted using thick metal wire that is bent, twisted, and welded to create a sense of movement and form.
The sculptures are created using contour line work in three dimensions. Instead of solid mass, the artist uses the wire to "draw" the silhouette and internal structure of the figure in space.
Usually made of iron or steel wire with a black or dark bronze finish.
