I don't think it was made in a major factory, more like a small workshop. What's interesting is that the base is made of wood, which is ebonized black. The lens holder and other accessories are made of copper. It has the original box, very solid, with slight water damage on the top. It is veneered with mahogany and comes with two small drawers. The spare lenses are in this. The mirror was replaced later, because it wasn't there when i got it. I tried to make one similar in style, but i'm obviously selling it more as a decorative item now. The key is in the box, but unfortunately the lock doesn't work, i'm not sure if the key is original.it comes with about 10-15 extra lenses, which i think could be swapped out.the box was also made very carefully, it seems that it must have been a valued and expensive piece at that time. The door was made with pearl inlay decoration. See less
