This pair of Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vases features a classic baluster form with flared rims and stylized red lion-head handles with fixed rings. The central narrative scene depicts a traditional gathering of auspicious figures, including Shoulao (the God of Longevity) holding a large peach, accompanied by a female immortal—likely Magu—and a young attendant. A spotted deer, a symbol of wealth and long life, stands nearby under a floating peach branch. The reverse side is adorned with extensive calligraphic inscriptions in black ink, accented by red seal marks, which provide a poetic or commemorative context to the artwork. Rendered in a soft palette of greens, oranges, and pinks against a crisp white glaze, these vases exemplify late 19th to early 20th-century decorative artistry, blending figurative storytelling with elegant literary expression.
