The "stepped" or tiered look of the handles reflects the skyscraper-inspired designs popular during the Art Deco period. This vase utilizes a majolica drip glaze (a technique where one glaze is layered over another to create a flowing, mottled effect), which was a popular way to add visual depth to these structured forms. Made in Belgium. Circa: 1920. Marked on bottom of vase.
