Originally created for the student residences at Cité Universitaire in Nancy, France, Prouvé admired the design so much he kept one in his own home.

This example in black fabric and tan leather straps with black coated steel produced by Vitra in circa 2002 and signed with Vitra manufacturing labels.

This elegant chair features a bold, angular silhouette defined by open steel arms and base, accented with leather strap detailing. Its generous seat and backrest upholstered seamlessly. A timeless blend of industrial design and refined comfort, the Cité Lounge Chair is crafted in Denmark.
