Original first edition octavo lithograph from John James Audubon's Quadrupeds of North America, published in 1854, New York. Beautiful mountain beaver, Sewellel, climbing on a flat rock. Quadrupeds was Audubon's final great natural history work. His animal drawings are still considered some of the finest prints published in America.
