Elegant circa 1960s Shōwa Era 4-panel painted Japanese Byobu (folding screen) on gold background depicts a peaceful landscape with mountains, river, pine trees, man walking on a bridge, and houses. Signed and sealed by artist. Gouache, watercolor and ink on silk over paper. Silk border. Lacquered brown wood frame with engraved copper corners, plaques and medallions. Paper on back. Comes with a storage box. Japan, Shōwa Era, circa 1960s. Very Good condition - no damage to the painting, minor age wear overall, few small repairs on back, strong hinges, clean, sturdy; extensive age wear on the storage box.
