The text at the bottom suggests that at least three of these engravings were likely produced by Pierre Mariette (noted by "Typis P. Mariette"), who was from a prominent French family of print sellers and engravers active during the 17th and 18th centuries.
The original artistic design is attributed to the Italian Renaissance master Raphael (credited on the prints as "Raphael Urbinas Inventor"), in that the engravings were made of frescoes by Raphael (1483–1520) in the Loggia of the Vatican in Rome.
