Lovely-to-look-at Chinese import-style corner rosewood armchair, featuring a horseshoe style top rail with wide oval headrest. The chair has two hand carved panels which act as back supports. Each hand carved panel depicts a flowering plant in a pot type planter with a song bird nestled within the branches. Slight cabriole legs are reinforced with a cross stretcher, which adds stability and structural integrity to the chair. This beauty measures 34¼” x 26½” x 23” H/W/D; seat-to-floor 17¼”; seat 17” x 21½” W/D; weight 20 lbs. Handcrafted from rosewood using tongue and groove joinery with a high gloss lacquered finish. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. Frame is strong and sturdy. Lacquered finish is crisp and clean, with little to no wear. Because of this beauty’s construction, we have discerned it to be too fragile to parcel ship and have chosen to offer it as an In-Home Delivery piece to ensure it gets to its new owner in the same condition as when it leaves us.

We used this chair briefly as a decorative prop in our former home. We purchased from a local design store in Kansas City that was located in the Waldo are but is no longer in business. Maker is unknown but we suspect that it was made in China. When we relocated and built our new home, we found the chair’s profile did not scale well with the new home’s layout. It’s been tucked away for over four years and we realized it needs a new home, your perhaps?
