Impressive 14-inch signed studio art glass vase by Steven Newell, executed in rich cobalt blue with a soft satin finish and applied clear frosted scrolled handles.
The form is subtly four-sided, giving architectural structure to the classical amphora silhouette. The satin cobalt body contrasts beautifully with the sculptural clear handles, which curl upward in elegant scrolls. The finish is uniform and refined, with the underside fully satin with a rough pontil mark and signed by the artist.
At 14 inches tall, this is a substantial gallery-scale piece with strong vertical presence.
DIMENSIONS: 13 3/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and weighs 4 lbs.
CONDITION: In excellent condition. Only the slightest signs of normal wear on the exterior from previous use or display. No signs of damage or defects. Handles are in perfect condition and entirely intact. A terrific find!
