The top has a chamfered edge before stepping down to meet an ogee molding and complete the thick crown. The hand-cut dovetailed drawers are of pretty much equal depth and the drawer dividers are fluted. The top drawer stands slightly proud of the lower three and is flanked by elongated pyramid appliques. The remainder of the front corners of the case are trimmed with fluted molding, capped with a plain pine corbel. This chest has a warm honey color and only a few very small knots on the front.
