Great condition throughout, gold finials, finely hand painted in the Satsuma style - red and gold neck and base borders with a profusion of whimsical birds and auspicious flowers such as chrysanthemums - a wrap around scene. Enamelled, polychromatic. Primary colours are brick/deep red, gold, pinks and greens.
Beige crackle glaze.
Early 20th. Century. Shimazu Family Crest.
A lovely pair of jars suitable for many areas of the home. We have wood stands available at the time of writing.
