This small oak writing table, made in the second half of the 19th century, delicately echoes the lines of the Louis XIV style. Its rectangular top, framed by an inverted quarter-round molding, rests on four turned legs connected by an H-shaped stretcher, lending it both stability and elegance. The solid oak, with its warm patina, reveals a harmonious grain and a beautiful depth of tone.
The table features a discreet and functional central drawer in the apron, adorned with its original knob. Its balanced proportions make it an easy piece to integrate, whether as a small desk, side table, or refined console. The overall effect is one of understated and classic presence, typical of 19th-century reinterpretations of the Grand Siècle.
An authentic and decorative piece, it instantly adds a touch of history and character to any interior, whether traditional or contemporary.
