Handmade large studio pottery serving bowl signed by ceramic artist Ann Campbell, measuring approximately 8.5-9 inches in diameter. Ann Campbell was part of the American studio pottery movement, where artists created one-of-a-kind pieces rather than mass produced. Potters in this tradition focused on wheel-thrown forms, natural earth-tone glazes and functional objects used as art.
This bowl has a strong mid-century earth toned studio pottery aesthetic, with visible throwing rings and a hand-applied glaze division and natural speckling that makes each piece unique. I will be listing several other coordinating Ann Campbell pieces in the coming days.
